I am a self-employed, qualified carpet fitter with over 20 years' experience; working in all types of industries including marine, contract and domestic. I am hard-working, reliable and efficient and have worked in Finland, Germany, France, Australia as well as all over Great Britain. I am based in Dagenham but am able to travel around London / Essex,

My skill set includes:  Stretch System / Dura-Fit System / System 10 / Body and Border / Sisal / Seagrass / Flatweave / Vinyl  / LVT / Carpet Tiles.
I am also very experienced in heat seaming and hand-sewing bullnoses. I also offer a service of carpet binding and whipping.

  Russell has just completed a superb carpeting project throughout our house. The bespoke shaped 2 sets of stair carpets, with bindings and paintwork exposed either side, create a striking feature, complementing our 2 storey glass sided stairwells. The whole job utilised 1800 sq m of carpet, also across six large rooms & two reception landings. No carpet jointing in the rooms & landings with minimal carpet pieces left over.   Russell came to measure up, he was able to provide a detailed plan minimising the waste for both the carpet and underlay.   Russell kindly accommodated my fitting request on short notice (24hrs), and provided a quote and information on the fitting. Russell also kindly helped me to move some furniture out of the bedroom and was super tidy with the fitting.   Russell is a master fitter and it shows. He replanned the lay so instead of mixed 4 and 5 metre rolls we had all 5 metre rolls from a single dye batch. We have no thresholds and the carpet appears to run in a single piece between two rooms and the landing making the space seem larger. And it clings – apparently seamlessly - around the bottom curved stair. He also gave lots of good advice – we were told to save money on the carpet but we had to ply the floors.
